We are able to continue operations and are open to the general public, providing they adhere to health & safety protocols as laid out by the Scottish Government. However, we are not accepting bookings from those living within a local lock down areas.
Here at Lochview Bed & Breakfast we have increased our cleaning routine and practices in line with Scottish Government recommendations. We will also be wearing PPE, when needed, and may ask you to maintain a safe distance from us and other guests, to vacate a communal area, or to apply hand sanitiser when entering communal areas. We are now also asking all guests to wear a face covering in communal areas except when sat at a table eating.
Limiting the spread of the Covid-19 Virus is not only our responsibility, but also the responsibility of the public, as we aim to ensure that the accommodation is clean, not only to the eye, but also that any potential virus is removed to the best of our ability to prevent any spread. We also have a duty of care to customers and staff even where specific legislation does not exist.
Therefore, all touch points, such as (but not limited to) light switches, door handles, room keys, TV remotes, kitchen surfaces and equipment, and bathroom surfaces will be regularly disinfected using appropriate products and ensuring it is left on the surface for the required time to kill the virus. We are using products that are certified to EN14476 (99.9%) and follow the manufacturers guidelines, on both hard surfaces and soft furnishings. We have also installed a hand sanitiser station at the entrance to the property.
At this time we are not able to install screens or additional signage at reception, so we ask guest to maintain a minimum safe distance of 2m from others and use the hand sanitser at reception whenever entering or leaving the dining room, the reception, or the building.
All of the local restaurants are now open, but they have their own restrictions and procedures in place to control the spread of COVID-19. It is highly recommended that you call the restaurants in advance to make a reservation to avoid being turned away.
